Support the Orchestra

The GVO operates on a lean budget — your generous contributions allow the orchestra to:

Rent and purchase music
Rent concert hall space
Print concert programs and flyers
Compensate soloists and guest musicians
Record concert CDs
Provide refreshments for concert receptions

Since ticket sales can never cover all of our expenses, it is the generosity of our audience, members and donors that enables us to bring our concerts to the New York cultural scene.

We are not a big organization and we have a modest budget, but if we are to continue bringing our audiences the kind of programming they have come to expect, we need your help. Whether you give $25, $50 or more, we can assure you that every dollar will go towards the direct expenses of producing our concerts.

Please help us uphold our tradition of offering high quality music at a very affordable ticket price.

Donation Levels

Each musical element is essential to making our season possible and we invite you to become an integral part of GVO’s music making by making a contribution at one of the following levels:

Rhythm: up to $100
Harmony: $100–$249
Melody: $250–$499
Counterpoint: $500–$999
Symphony: $1000–$4999
Patron: $5000 and up

Musical Chairs Program

We are looking for annual sponsors to support each and every musical chair in the orchestra. The level of sponsorship depends on the chair in question:

Music director’s podium: $1000
Concertmaster’s chair: $500
Principal chairs: $400
All other chairs: $200

Chairs are sponsored online via our store. Please note in the spaces provided which chair you would are sponsoring (this can be a position in the orchestra, such as “principal flute”, or a particular musician), and how you would like you sponsorship to be credited in concert programs and on this website:
